Description
The Surly Midnight Special Frameset is a steel endurance road bike frame designed for comfort and speed on long rides over mixed terrain, including rough pavement and gravel. This 46cm frame, finished in Black Cherry Fizz, features a 100% Surly Chromoly main triangle that is double-butted for strength and durability. It includes a 1-1/8″ threadless steel fork and flat-mount disc brake mounts.
The frame accommodates 650b and 700c wheels with versatile tire clearance: up to 27.5 x 2.35″ or 700c x 42mm without fenders, and up to 650b x 50mm or 700c x 38mm with fenders. It offers multiple mounts for racks, fenders, and three sets of water bottle cages, making it adaptable for various riding setups.
Additional specifications include 12mm thru-axles (142mm rear and 100mm front), a 44mm head tube, and a 520mm effective top tube length. The rigid steel fork and overall frame construction are built to provide a balanced ride that smooths road imperfections for better comfort on longer journeys.
