Description
The Surly Singleator Single-Speed Chain Tensioner in black provides an adjustable solution for maintaining proper chain tension on singlespeed drivetrains with vertical dropouts. It mounts directly to a standard derailleur hanger and features a forged body with a stainless steel pivot bushing for durability. The tensioner includes a triple-sealed spring, a floating 11-tooth pulley, chain guides, and supports a wide cog capacity for smooth and quiet operation. It works with both 1/8″ and 3/32″ chains and comes with two springs to allow upward or downward tension adjustment-one spring is installed for downward tension, and the other is included in the packaging. This product is not suitable for use with coaster brakes, fixed gear setups, or drivetrains with multiple cogs or chainrings.
