Description
The Surly Steamroller Frameset is a 62cm steel frame designed for fixed gear or single speed riding. It features road bike geometry combined with track bike elements, including 120mm rear spacing, track-legal bottom bracket height, and compatibility with track cranks. The frame and fork are made from 4130 chromoly steel, with the main triangle double-butted and TIG-welded for durability. The steel fork is 1-1/8″ threadless and brazed. The frame and fork include mounts for mid-reach caliper brakes (47-57mm), brake cable stops for tidy rear brake routing, and a fork and seatstay bridge drilled to accommodate brakes. It has clearance for 700c tires up to 38mm wide without fenders, or 32mm with fenders, and includes one bottle cage mount. The finish is powder coated with an E.D. coating to resist rust. The frame is in the color Anxious Lavender and uses quick-release axles, 120mm in the rear and 100mm in the front.
