Description
The Surly Ultra New Rear Hub is designed for 135mm spaced rear wheels and features a 6-bolt disc brake mounting system. It has a black 6061-T6 forged hub shell with 32 holes for spokes and uses sealed cartridge 6901 bearings. The axle is 10×1 threaded and made from 4130 CroMoly, compatible with both quick release and bolt-on setups (quick release skewer not included). Stainless steel 6mm bolts are included. The hub’s cones and axle feature aggressive knurling to reduce slippage. Its new shoulder axle and cone design require no adjustment and are easy to service. The hub has a threaded standard cassette body (1.37″ x 24 tpi) and J-bend spoke holes. Flange diameters are 58mm on both sides, with center-to-flange distances of 34mm (left) and 38.5mm (right). The hub weighs 376 grams.
