The Thule Epos Platform Hitch Bike Rack is designed to carry up to two bikes, supporting a maximum weight of 75 pounds per bike. It fits both 1-1/4″ and 2″ receiver hitches. The rack accommodates all types of bikes, including ebikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, and bikes with fenders or racks.
This bike rack features patented telescopic bike arms with pivoting cradles and steel-reinforced straps that attach to either the bike frame or rear wheel. The arms provide multiple attachment points, making it easy to mount bikes with various frame styles and geometries. The rack includes extra-long wheel holders to support bikes with wheelbases up to 53 inches and ratcheting pump buckles and wheel straps that fasten tires up to 3.2 inches wide (up to 5 inches with an additional accessory).
With a generous 9.8-inch spacing between bikes, the design reduces the risk of bike-to-bike contact. The rack is fully foldable for easy installation, handling, and storage. When bikes are mounted, a foot pedal tilt function allows access to the vehicle trunk; without bikes, the trunk is accessible without tilting the rack. The rack is made of steel and uses a tray-style mount. It weighs 41 pounds.
