Description
The Thule Epos Platform Hitch Bike Rack is designed to carry up to three bikes on a 2″ or 1-1/4″ receiver hitch. It fits a wide range of bike types, including e-bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, and bikes with fenders or racks. Each bike can weigh up to 75 lbs, supporting a maximum total weight of 160 lbs.
This rack features patented telescopic bike arms with pivoting cradles and steel-reinforced straps that attach securely to the bike frame or rear wheel. The extra-long wheel holders accommodate bikes with wheelbases up to 53 inches, and the 9.8-inch spacing between bikes helps prevent contact during transport. Tires up to 3.2 inches wide can be fastened with included ratcheting pump buckles and wheel straps; tires up to 5 inches wide can be secured with an additional accessory.
The rack is fully foldable for easy installation, handling, and storage. It also includes a smart foot pedal tilt that allows trunk access when bikes are mounted, while the trunk remains accessible without tilting when no bikes are on the rack.
