Description
The Wolf Tooth Components Waveform Performance Platform Pedal in Black is designed for all-mountain riding, from trail and downhill to bike park laps. It features a large 112mm x 106mm platform made from extruded and post-machined 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard chrome plated chromoly steel axle.
The pedal has a slim, dual-concave profile-16mm thick at the edges and 13.5mm thick in the center-that securely holds your foot in place both front-to-back and side-to-side. Each side of the pedal includes nine steel, rear-loading 4.5mm pins for strong traction, with four extra grip pins included. Pins can be removed or replaced using a 3mm hex tool.
Inside, three high-precision, low-friction sealed cartridge bearings, including one inboard igus bushing protected by a custom radial seal, keep the pedal running smoothly while shielding internal components from water, dirt, and debris. The pedal also has a large, tapered leading edge designed to deflect strikes on rough terrain.
The Waveform Performance pedal fits all cranks with 9/16″-20 tpi right- and left-hand threads. Some children’s and vintage bikes may have incompatible threads. Before installation, applying WT-G Precision Bike Grease to the pedal threads is recommended.
The pedals are fully serviceable with standard hex keys and do not require special tools. They weigh 384 grams each.
