Description
The WTB CGR i28 Carbon Gravel Rear Wheel pairs a 40mm-deep carbon rim with a 28mm internal width made for today’s higher-volume gravel tires. WTB recommends it for 45 to 54mm tires, giving wide rubber a stable base without flattening the tire into a square profile. The asymmetric rim, reinforced spoke beds, and 4D spoke drilling are designed to balance spoke tension and spread loads through the wheel, while WTB’s TCS system keeps the setup tubeless-ready.
At the center is WTB’s Frequency 7X rear hub. Its ratchet-ring drive uses DLC-coated ratchets to reduce friction and improve durability, while a splined inner ratchet ring is designed to handle more than twice the torque of a traditional threaded interface. Large Enduro bearings and a fully sealed hub help increase load capacity and extend service intervals. Choose SRAM XDR, Shimano Micro Spline, or Shimano HG to match your drivetrain.
