Description
The WTB KOM Tough i30 Rim is a 29-inch tubeless-ready rim designed for disc brakes. It features a dual I-beam construction that enhances strength and stiffness. Patented CVX technology improves spoke and nipple alignment by thickening material where needed and removing it where not, increasing strength at the spoke hole without adding weight.
This rim is extruded from aluminum alloy 6069 for durability while maintaining reasonable weight. The updated spoke bed provides a better interface between the nipple and rim, and 4D angled spoke drilling reduces binding and lateral stress by distributing tension more evenly.
The TCS 2.0 system makes tubeless tire mounting easier and more reliable. The rim includes WTB’s Solid Strip, which creates a smooth surface between tire and rim, preventing punctures from broken spokes. For tubeless setup, TCS tape is required to be applied over the Solid Strip.
