Description
The WTB KOM Tough i35 Rim is a 29-inch tubeless-ready rim designed for disc brakes. It features dual I-beam construction for increased strength and stiffness. Patented CVX technology improves spoke and nipple alignment, enhancing strength around the spoke holes without adding weight. The rim is extruded from aluminum alloy 6069 for durability and reasonable weight.
The rim has a 35mm internal width and an 18.1mm depth. It includes WTB’s TCS 2.0 system, which provides an easy-to-mount and reliable tubeless setup. The integrated Solid Strip creates a smooth surface between tire and rim, helping to prevent air loss if a spoke breaks. TCS tape is required to complete the tubeless setup.
Additional features include a recessed center channel to properly install the Solid Strip, 4D angled spoke drilling to reduce binding and distribute tension evenly, and compatibility with Presta valves. The rim has 32 spoke holes and is finished in black. Its effective rim diameter (ERD) is approximately 603-604mm, and it weighs around 610-615 grams.
This rim is suitable for 29″ wheels with disc brakes and tubeless tires.
