Description
This bundle includes two WTB Trail Boss tires, each sized 29 x 2.40 inches. These tubeless-ready clincher tires feature a folding bead design and a lightweight TCS Light SG2 casing. The Trail Boss tires offer a tight tread spacing for fast rolling while maintaining tall, blocky knobs that provide strong braking traction. The rounded profile and staggered side knobs deliver consistent grip even on uneven trail surfaces.
Built with TriTec compound, these tires use three layers of rubber to balance traction, support, and durability. A hard rubber base supports the tread, while medium-stiffness center knobs and softer side knobs optimize grip. SG2 bead-to-bead puncture protection improves air retention and adds 80% more sidewall protection compared to traditional single-ply tires.
With a thread-per-inch (TPI) rating of 60, a width of 2.4 inches, and a weight of 972 grams per tire, the Trail Boss suits mountain biking needs. They are commonly used as rear tires paired with a WTB Vigilante on the front. The tires come in black and are not rated for e-bikes.
