Description
The Yakima StepUp Platform Hitch Bike Rack carries two bikes and fits a 2″ hitch receiver. It supports mountain, road, hybrid, BMX, youth, fat-tire, and e-bikes weighing up to 65 lbs (29.5 kg) each. The rack includes a StadiumSeating tiered design that reduces bike interference and increases ground clearance, accommodating wheel sizes from 16″ to 29″/700c and tires up to 4.5″ wide with wheelbases between 32″ and 52″ (813-1321 mm).
Bikes are secured with a StrongArm hook on the front tire and a flip-away rear wheel strap for quick loading and unloading. The rack tilts to allow trunk access with bikes loaded and folds flat when not in use. It attaches securely to the hitch with a threaded bolt and includes a HitchLock for added security. SKS locks are provided to lock both the bikes to the rack and the rack to the vehicle. A built-in locking cable further secures bikes to the rack. Additional features include a built-in bottle opener. The rack weighs 48.5 lbs.
