The Zipp 404 S A1 Rear Wheel is a 700C (622mm) road wheel designed for high aerodynamic performance and stability. It features a 50mm deep carbon rim with a 23mm internal width, using a hookless, tubeless straight side (TSS) design compatible with tubeless tires only. The wheel has 20 spokes arranged in a 2-cross pattern with Sapim CX-Sprint spokes.
This rear wheel includes a ZR700 hub with 36 points of quick engagement and stainless steel cartridge bearings. It is built for use with a 12mm thru-axle and 142mm hub spacing. The cassette body is compatible with SRAM XD-R cassettes. The wheel uses a Center-Lock disc brake interface and comes with a Presta valve.
Weighing 1585 grams, the Zipp 404 S A1 offers a balance of aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The rim features a double-wall carbon construction with adhesive decals in a black and dark gray color scheme. Note that a skewer is not included.
