Berd PolyLight 14g Spoke, White, 277mm
This spoke uses PolyLight polymer technology to provide a lightweight option for wheel builds, saving 100 to 200 grams per wheelset compared to carbon rims. It has a 1.8mm aerodynamic cross section and features a 14 gauge (2.0mm) stainless steel threaded connection at the rim with a flat section designed to prevent twisting during installation. The integral eyelet allows for connection to J-bend or straight pull hubs.
These spokes are compatible with all standard hub and rim connections and can be trued and maintained like steel spokes. They offer greater strength and fatigue resistance than most spokes, while also improving vibration damping for a smoother ride. A custom coating increases abrasion resistance.
Each spoke measures 277mm in length and is sold individually. Because Berd spoke lengths differ from standard sizes, use the Berd-specific spoke length guide. Double square locking nipples (part #DT647 or PM78470) are recommended but not included. Assembly requires the Berd Supplemental Kit BO2924, which contains eyelet rods, an eyelet hook, and a hub deburring tool (one kit per wheelset).
