Berd PolyLight 14g Spoke, White, 294mm
This spoke utilizes PolyLight polymer technology to create one of the world’s lightest spokes, helping reduce wheelset weight by 100 to 200 grams compared to carbon rims, with a lower overall build cost. The spoke has a 1.8mm aerodynamic cross section and is 14 gauge (2.0mm) at the threaded rim connection, which features a flat section to prevent twisting when tightened.
Compatible with all standard hub and rim connections, these spokes include an integral eyelet for attachment to J-bend or straight pull hubs. They are trued and maintained like steel spokes but offer greater strength and fatigue resistance. The custom coating enhances abrasion resistance and helps improve vibration damping for a smoother ride on road and trail surfaces.
Each spoke measures 294mm in length, comes in white, and is sold individually. Double square locking nipples (part # DT647 or PM78470) are recommended but not included. Installation requires the Berd Supplemental Kit BO2924, which contains eyelet rods, an eyelet hook, and a hub deburring tool (one kit per wheelset). Because Berd spoke lengths differ from standard sizes, use the Berd spoke length when building wheels.
