Description
The Chromag BA30 V2 Rim is designed for demanding, high-impact riding on rough and rugged trails. It features a taller profile compared to the previous version, enhancing strength against flat spots without adding extra weight. The rim has a heavy-duty bead wall and a wide 30mm profile, providing toughness, impact resistance, and rigidity for precise tracking under pressure.
Made from premium extruded aluminum alloy, the rim balances compliance and durability. A fusion weld process creates a seam stronger than any other part of the rim, and the surface is ground for a smooth, consistent finish. The bead wall is roughly twice as wide as most competitors and has an extra-large radius on the outer edge to protect against sidewall impact cuts.
The rim bed is angled to align with the spoke direction, reducing spoke bend at the nipple and thread ends. This tubeless-ready rim comes in black, has 32 spoke holes, a diameter of 27.5″, a width of 30mm, and a depth of 19mm. It is compatible with disc brakes. The effective rim diameter (ERD) is 563mm.
