The Continental Gator Hardshell Black Edition Tire is a 700 x 23 clincher folding tire designed for road use. It features Continental’s Hardshell-ProTection with a wider PolyX Breaker and a three-ply carcass to provide strong puncture resistance. The tire includes Duraskin sidewall protection and a high-mileage carbon-black tread compound for durability on rough surfaces and urban roads. The casing-ply overlap extends further along the sidewall than usual, enhancing sidewall protection. Each ply of the 3-ply carcass has 60 TPI, covering the entire tire for added strength. The tire weighs 350 grams and has a 700c (622 mm) diameter. Flat protection is provided through both the tread and sidewall areas. The black tire is suited to athletic urban riding styles.
