The Grand Prix 5000 is a high-performance road tire designed to deliver a faster, more comfortable ride with enhanced puncture protection. It features a Vectran Breaker layer, made from a liquid crystal-polymer yarn that is lightweight, flexible, and highly cut-resistant-stronger than steel and more effective than typical nylon breakers-without increasing rolling resistance.
The tire’s Lazer Grip micro-profile extends over the shoulder for improved cornering control. Active Comfort Technology (ACT) is built into the tire to absorb vibrations, providing a smoother ride. The Black Chili Compound combines synthetic and natural rubbers for optimized rolling efficiency and grip.
This 700 x 28c clincher tire has a folding bead and weighs approximately 290 grams. It is constructed with a 330 TPI casing and offers flat protection on both the tread and sidewalls. The tire’s maximum pressure is 116 PSI. The black and cream color scheme combines a black tread with tan sidewalls.
