The Continental Pure Contact tire is designed for urban riders seeking reliable performance for commuting, shopping, and exploring. It features advanced protection with a combination of Vectran and PolyX breaker technologies. The Vectran breaker is made from a liquid crystal-polymer yarn that is highly cut-resistant and stronger than steel, providing lightweight and flexible protection without adding rolling resistance. The PolyX breaker uses a tightly woven polyester fiber that offers strong puncture resistance while maintaining smooth rolling.
This folding clincher tire measures 27.5 x 2.0 inches (50 mm width, 584 mm diameter) and weighs 655 grams. It includes flat protection on both the tread and sidewall, and is rated for e-bike use (E50), offering durability against the additional forces of electric assist. The tire has a black, coffee, and graphite reflex color scheme with a reflective sidewall stripe to enhance visibility in low light.
