The Continental Pure Contact tire is designed for urban riders who need reliable performance for commuting, shopping, and exploring. It features advanced protection technologies with Vectran and PolyX breakers to guard against cuts and punctures without increasing rolling resistance. The Vectran breaker uses a strong, flexible liquid crystal-polymer yarn that is more cut-resistant than aramid and has a tensile strength five times greater than steel. The PolyX breaker is made of tightly woven polyester fibers, enhancing puncture resistance.
This tire has an E50 e-bike rating, offering a durable structure to withstand the additional forces from e-bike use and reduce premature wear. It includes a reflective sidewall stripe called the Graphite Reflex Stripe, improving side visibility in low light for added safety.
