The Continental Pure Contact tire (700 x 55) is designed for urban riders who need reliable performance for commuting, shopping, and exploring. It features advanced protection with a combination of Vectran and PolyX breaker technologies. The Vectran Breaker is made from a liquid crystal-polymer yarn that is more cut-resistant than aramid and offers five times the tensile strength of steel, providing strong puncture resistance without adding weight or rolling resistance. The PolyX Breaker uses a tightly woven polyester fiber for additional puncture protection.
This tire is rated E50 for e-bike use, offering a durable structure that reduces premature wear caused by higher driving forces. The tread and sidewall provide flat protection, and a reflective graphite stripe on the sidewall enhances visibility in low light conditions.
