The Surly Skid Loader Cargo Ebike in Medium, 27.5″ wheel size, features a durable steel frame and fork made from 100% Surly Chromoly Steel with Natch tubing. Designed as a compact electric cargo bike, it handles heavy loads while fitting into tight spaces where traditional long-tail bikes cannot. The bike is equipped with a Bosch Performance Line Cargo motor system offering four levels of pedal assist and a maximum assist speed of 20 mph. It includes a 545 Wh removable lithium-ion battery with a voltage of 36 V and capacity of 14.4 Ah, providing an estimated range between 15 and 50 miles depending on conditions. Charging time ranges from 1.8 to 4.9 hours.
The frame has internal cable routing for the dropper post, brakes, derailleur, and lights. It comes with a dedicated rear rack rated to carry up to 100 lbs, with the deck alone supporting 59 lbs of cargo. A stable dual-leg kickstand and kickstand plate are included, along with mounts for fenders and a front rack. The bike accepts large-volume tires up to 27.5 x 2.8 inches without fenders and features a front wheel stabilizer for added control.
Braking is handled by disc brakes, and the bike includes integrated front and rear lights for increased visibility. The drive system is mid-drive, and it features a walk assist function. The rear axle measures 12mm thru-axle by 148mm, and the front axle is 15mm thru-axle by 110mm.
This model is colored Illegal Smile Green and comes with a charger. It meets UL 2849 and UL 2271 safety certifications and can support a gross payload of up to 400 lbs.
