Description
This bundle includes two Velocity Blunt SS rims, each 29″ in size and finished in polished silver. Designed for cross-country use, these rims feature shorter, thicker sidewalls for enhanced durability, even when used with low-pressure tubeless tires. They are made from aluminum alloy and have a rim width of 26.6mm and a depth of 20mm. Each rim has 32 spoke holes and a zero millimeter center offset.
The Blunt SS rims are tubeless-ready clinchers intended for disc brake use only. They have an ISO diameter of 622mm and a manufacturer specified effective rim diameter (ERD) of 596mm. The rims incorporate an I-beam bead hook to maximize internal width, improving tire performance. The advanced spoke bed design supports very high spoke tension while keeping rim weight low, with each rim weighing 425 grams.
For tubeless setups, Velocity recommends using their 24mm Velotape (RS1006) and the VR8001 conversion kit. These rims are made in the USA.
