Description
The Wheel Factory DT XM481 Wheel is a 27.5″ rear wheel featuring a 12x148mm axle spacing and designed for XD driver compatibility. It uses the DT Swiss XM481 aluminum rim with a 30mm internal width, ideal for tires between 2.3″ and 2.8″. The rim is built with a nearly seamless welding process for reliable downcountry use and includes DT Swiss’s Pro Head Reinforcement (PHR) System, which balances load transfer through a ball and socket design requiring unique washers and Squorx nipples.
The wheel is hand-laced and trued in the USA with DT Swiss Competition double-butted spokes (2.0/1.8/2.0) and brass Squorx nipples. It features DT Swiss 370 LN hubs, compatible with all Ratchet LN freehub bodies and upgrade options including the 36 and 54 POE ratchets. The wheel supports a 6-bolt brake rotor and is tubeless-ready. It comes in black, weighs 1010 grams, and has a rim depth of 21mm with 32 spoke holes.
