Description
The Wheel Factory DT XM481 Wheel is a 29-inch rear wheel designed for downcountry riding. It features a DT Swiss XM481 aluminum rim with a 30mm internal width, suitable for tire sizes between 2.3″ and 2.8″. The rim is constructed with a nearly seamless welding process for durability.
This wheel uses DT Swiss’s Pro Head Reinforcement (PHR) System, which balances load transfer through a ball-and-socket interface and requires specialized washers and Squorx nipples. It is built with 32 DT Swiss Competition double-butted spokes (2.0/1.8/2.0) and brass Squorx nipples. The hub is a DT Swiss 370 LN, compatible with all Ratchet LN freehub bodies and DT’s 36 and 54 POE ratchet upgrade options.
The wheel is hand-laced and trued in the USA. It has a 6-bolt brake mount and a rear axle spacing of 12×142. The wheel is tubeless-ready, black in color, with a rim depth of 21mm and a weight of 1100g.
