Description
The WTB KOM Light i25 rim is a 29-inch, tubeless-ready alloy rim designed for disc brakes. Made from durable AL6069 aluminum, it features a 25mm internal width and a 17.8mm depth. The rim utilizes WTB’s patented CVX technology, which enhances spoke and nipple alignment while strengthening the spoke bed without adding weight. This design increases contact between the nipple head and rim, distributing load evenly and reducing stress at spoke holes.
The rim includes WTB’s Solid Strip, providing a smooth surface between tire and rim and protecting the tubeless system from air loss if a spoke breaks. For tubeless setup, TCS 2.0 tubeless tape must be applied over the Solid Strip. The rim has 28 spoke holes drilled at a 4D angle to reduce spoke binding and evenly distribute tension.
With a black finish and compatibility with Presta valves, this rim weighs approximately 459 grams and has an effective rim diameter (ERD) around 603-606mm. It is designed exclusively for disc brake use.
