Description
This bundle includes two WTB KOM Tough i25 rims, each sized 29″ and designed for tubeless use with disc brakes. The rims feature dual I-Beam construction for increased strength and stiffness. WTB’s patented CVX technology improves spoke and nipple alignment by thickening material where needed and removing it where not, enhancing strength around the spoke holes without adding weight. The updated spoke bed provides a more consistent connection between the nipple and rim.
Made from alloy (AL 6069), these rims balance durability and reasonable weight. They have an internal rim width of 25mm and a wheel depth of 18.1mm. Both rims come with WTB Solid Strip installed, which creates a smooth surface between tire and rim and prevents punctures from broken spokes in the tubeless setup. To complete the tubeless system, TCS tape must be applied over the Solid Strip.
Additional features include 4D angled spoke drilling that reduces binding and lateral loading, distributing tension more evenly. The rims use a 32-hole drilling pattern without eyelets and are compatible with Presta valves. Brake compatibility is disc only, with no brake track.
