Description
The WTB KOM Tough i35 Rim is a 27.5″ tubeless-ready rim designed for disc brakes. Made from durable AL 6069 alloy, it features a dual I-beam construction that enhances strength and stiffness. The patented CVX technology strengthens the spoke bed by optimizing material distribution, improving spoke and nipple alignment, and reducing stress at the spoke holes.
The rim has an internal width of 35mm and an 18.1mm depth. It includes WTB’s TCS 2.0 system for easier and more reliable tubeless tire installation, featuring a recessed channel for the Solid Strip, which creates a smooth interface between tire and rim and helps prevent punctures from broken spokes. Note that TCS tape is required for a complete tubeless setup.
Additional design elements include 4D angled spoke drilling to reduce spoke tension and binding, and a spoke hole count of 32 without eyelets. This rim is finished in black and accommodates Presta valves. It is compatible only with disc brakes.
