The WTB KOM Tough i40 27.5″ rim features dual I-beam construction for increased strength and stiffness. Its CVX patented technology improves spoke and nipple alignment, enhancing strength at the spoke hole. Made from durable AL 6069 aluminum, this 32-hole rim has an updated spoke bed for better interface between the nipple and rim. The TCS 2.0 system provides an easy-to-mount, reliable tubeless setup. Included is the WTB Solid Strip, which creates a smooth surface between the tire and rim and helps prevent air loss if a spoke breaks. TCS tape is required for tubeless installation. The rim is black, 40mm wide, 18.1mm deep, and weighs 611 grams. It is designed for disc brakes and has a manufacturer-specified effective rim diameter (ERD) of 565mm.
