Berd PolyLight 14g Spoke, White, 275mm
This spoke uses PolyLight polymer technology to provide a lightweight option for building wheels, saving 100 to 200 grams per wheelset compared to carbon rims. It features a 1.8mm cross section for better aerodynamics and a 14 gauge (2.0mm) stainless steel threaded connection at the rim, which includes a flat section designed to prevent twisting during installation. The spoke has an integral eyelet compatible with J-bend or straight pull hubs.
It is compatible with all standard hub and rim connections and can be trued and maintained like steel spokes. It is stronger and more fatigue resistant than most spokes on the market and helps improve damping of road and trail vibrations for a smoother ride. A custom coating increases abrasion resistance.
These spokes are sold individually in white, with a length of 275mm. Because Berd spokes have non-standard lengths, use Berd spoke length measurements when building wheels. Double square locking nipples (not included) such as part # DT647 or PM78470 are recommended for use. The Berd Supplemental Kit BO2924, which includes eyelet rods, an eyelet hook, and a hub deburring tool, is required and sold separately (one kit per wheelset).
