Berd PolyLight 14g Spoke, White, 287mm
This spoke uses PolyLight polymer technology to create one of the lightest spokes available, helping reduce wheelset weight by 100 to 200 grams compared to carbon rims, while lowering total build costs. It is compatible with all standard hub and rim connections and can be trued and maintained like steel spokes. The spoke offers greater strength and fatigue resistance than many others on the market.
The spoke features a 1.8mm cross section for improved aerodynamics and a custom coating for enhanced abrasion resistance. The 14 gauge (2.0mm) stainless steel threaded connection at the rim includes a flat section designed to prevent twisting when installed. An integral eyelet allows connection to J-bend or straight pull hubs.
Sold individually, the 287mm white spokes require the Berd Supplemental Kit (BO2924) for installation, which includes eyelet rods, an eyelet hook, and a hub deburring tool (one kit per wheelset). Double square locking nipples are recommended (not included), compatible with part numbers DT647 or PM78470. Because Berd spoke lengths differ from standard sizes, use the Berd spoke length when building your wheels.
