Description
The Surly Big Dummy Cargo Bike is a 26-inch steel longtail bike in the Twilight Zone color, sized Small. It is designed to carry a rider plus up to 200 pounds of cargo smoothly and with good maneuverability, supporting a total combined weight of up to 400 pounds.
The frame and fork are made from 100% Surly 4130 Chromoly Natch tubing, featuring double-butted main triangle and fork blades, TIG welding, and an E.D. coating to help prevent rust. This rigid steel frame includes fender eyelets and Surly Trip Guides to accommodate continuous brake or shift housing and hydraulic brake lines.
The bike comes equipped with the Dummy Deck, Dummy Rails, Dummy Rail Collars for a stiff frame interface, a kickstand plate, and Big Dummy Bags Version 2.0. Tire clearance supports up to 26 x 2.5″ tires, and there are no restrictions on chainring sizes.
For bottle mounts, the Small frame offers two standard mounts and one Three-Pack mount. The bike features a rear quick-release axle (135mm) and a front quick-release axle (100mm) with disc brakes and a rigid steel fork.
This model is part of three frame sizes available (S, M, L) to fit various riders.
