Description
The Surly Big Dummy Cargo Frameset in Medium size and Twilight Zone color is a steel longtail cargo bike frame designed to carry a rider plus up to 200 pounds of cargo smoothly and with good maneuverability. Made from 100% Surly 4130 Chromoly Natch tubing with double-butted main triangle and fork blades, the frame is TIG welded and coated to resist rust. It includes the Dummy Deck, Dummy Rails with two Surly Dummy Rail Collars for added stiffness, and Big Dummy Bags Version 2.0.
The frame features fender eyelets and Surly Trip Guides for routing brake or shift cables and hydraulic lines. It has multiple bottle mounts: three standard and one Three-Pack mount on Medium frames, plus two Four-Pack mounts on the fork. The frameset includes a kickstand plate and supports a maximum tire clearance of 26 x 2.5″. There is no limit on chainring sizes, and the combined weight limit for rider and cargo is 400 pounds.
Specifications include a steel rigid fork, quick-release axles (front QR 100mm, rear QR 135mm), disc brake compatibility, and a 26″ wheel size platform. This frameset is designed to fit a wide range of riders with sizes available in Small, Medium, and Large.
